Learn Cantonese with Kahei

I’m launching my online group lesson, for adult beginners.

I’ve planned one year of content, to prepare you to visit Hong Kong. Year 1 content includes term 1, 2 and 3, each has 12 lessons. Content include

– self introduction, asking about origin, and reason learning Cantonese
– meeting new friends and setting up time for meetup
– chatting about past holiday events
– chatting with families and relatives
– buying food in wet market and sourvenir Temple Street market
– basic food ordering
– Geography of Hong Kong and simple direction

Year 2’s content prepare you for a move to Hong Kong! Content include
– Speaking about your travels, hobbies, work
– Buying an Octopus card and asking for direction to public transportation
– Speaking about things at office, getting to know new colleagues
– Discussing life and after-work entertainment in Hong Kong with colleagues; booking tables, ordering food
– Talking about ill symptoms and speaking with a Chinese medicine practicioner
– Video-chatting with colleagues about lives of Chinese immigrants
– Buying boat tickets and speaking to mini-bus drivers
– Understanding traditions of Chinese New Year and procedure of how to make law baak gou
